At the entrance to the Seminary lie beautifully landscaped grounds, centered around a majestic Delonix regia (Flamboyant) tree.<\/p>\n

From this vantage point, guests are treated to sweeping views of the plains, reaching as far as Trinidad\u2019s Central Range.<\/p>\n

Nature lovers and hikers are welcome to explore the trails originating at St. Benet\u2019s Hall, just beyond the Mt. St. Benedict Abbey church.<\/p>\n

There are two trails, one is a shorter but steep climb, through the \u2018Pines\u2019 where hikers can enjoy a cooling breeze, to the top of the ridge marked by a proudly planted Trinidad and Tobago flag. This trail can take about 45 minutes.<\/p>\n

The other is longer but gentler, more of a nature walk, under shade of the \u2018Pines\u2019. On this trail the hiker will find a small stream and a grotto to the Blessed Virgin Mary and take approximately 90 minutes to reach the flag.<\/p>\n

The more adventurous can continue beyond the flag where one will find the ruins of the original Benedictine monastery and enjoy sweeping views of the Maracas valley.<\/p>\n

Located on the top floor of the building, a beautiful sacred space where one can spend time in prayer and reflection.<\/p>\n

The Chapel can accommodate a congregation of approximately eighty persons apart from choir stalls which are occupied by the Seminarians.<\/p>\n

Access to and use of the Chapel are arranged upon request.<\/p>\n
